THE PILBARA’S LARGEST MAKERS MARKET | Saturday 25th March | 3:30pm – 8pm
The Pilbara’s quarterly handmade markets celebrate the distinctiveness of the Pilbara and the people who have made it home. Experience artisan crafts, flavours, stories and experiences. Held four times a year in the gardens surrounding the Courthouse Gallery, the West End Markets bring the very best locally handmade products, delicious international cuisine and family friendly entertainment to the community, and are the largest maker’s market across the Pilbara.
The first West End Markets for 2017 will be held on Saturday afternoon, the 25th of March. Explore a world of music and art at the first West End Markets of 2017 with giant Jenga and scrabble, stilt walkers causing mischief and mayhem from above and a friendly water dragon roaming amidst food trucks, a pop-up bar, and an outback diner.
As part of the West End Markets | Creative Edition, we welcome guest makers Studio Twocan, Togetherness Designs, Future Shelter, The Blank Canvas and The Little Press as they showcase their wares and provide professional guidance as part of the Creative Business Development Series. As well, we have the fabulous Flutterbies stilt walkers Sunset Rose and Midday Sky, and the magical Water Dragon from a far off land roving the markets! Journey through colour. Create a collaborative sculpture from recycled materials with visiting artist David Brophy. To read more about who our visiting creatives are, check out this!
To apply to hold a stall for the Saturday, 13th May West End Markets, please submit your form by Monday 17th of April. If you are applying for a food stall, you will also need to complete this form and submit it to the Gallery via email@example.com (we will provide this form to the Town of Port Hedland as part of our overall application). There are strict power limitations, so if you’re wanting to use appliances, please talk to Gallery staff prior to submitting your application. Please also submit photos of your products and presentation of your stall, as there are limited places and you will go through a selection process.
We encourage stallholders to consider their stall presentation, promote their market attendance, have business cards available for the public and have alternative payment options, including EFTPOS. Learn more about the EFTPOS Options here.
