For many remote Aboriginal communities, art and creative expression are the strongest means of enabling economic opportunity and maintaining cultural identity. FORM’s Aboriginal Creative Development sees experienced staff work equitably and collaboratively with Aboriginal artists and communities in professional development and training programs, arts development workshops across many creative mediums, and business and market development.
The program is founded on creative collaboration, shared contribution, participation and celebration. Projects are initiated via Aboriginal art enterprises and their associated community organisations. In the long-term, the program builds opportunities for employment, social interaction and intercultural exchange, and promotes investment in Aboriginal cultural and creative projects that support community livelihoods and wellbeing.
