Running with a sandwich was conceived in Perth Western Australia during a very late night card game of SNAP between Jan, Ben and Bewley, around the laminex kitchen table in the year of 2006.

Too busy to stop playing for some food, Ben kept running into the kitchen, in between slapping down his cards in a mind numbing fury and the desire to be the first one who got to yell out, "SNAP"

So in between card slapping and running to the fridge to produce a snack that would enable him to continue the game, which by now was going at a blistering pace, Jan came up with the idea of the three of them going into the card making business together.

"Why don't we all go into the card making business together?" said Jan.

"What would we call it?" said Ben. "I know" said Jan, "Why don't we name it after the fact that you keep running to the fridge to get something to eat?"

"What", said Bewley, "running with a piece of meat between two slices of Thick Bread! Don't you think that's a bit long for a business name?"

"Well why don't we call Ben's snack, a Sandwich" said Jan, "then we can call ourselves Running With A Sandwich."

"Brilliant" said Ben, "you sure?" said Bewley, "Do you think that it will take off?"
"Yeah" said Jan, "It will be the best thing since Sliced Bread"

And so the legend of the Sandwich was born, and the rest is history. Jan, Ben and Bewley's remarkably successful business was created and they went on to capture the World market with their witty and quirky cards.
