Download Me! Rubikon paper pinhole camera.
In 1979, the Czech magazine ABC mladých techniků a přírodovědců (An ABC of Young Technicians and Natural Scientists) published a jigsaw called Dirkon, a functional pinhole camera made of stiff paper, designed for 35 mm film. At the time, there were very few good magazines for young people in Communist Czechoslovakia, so the Dirkon quickly became part of the pop culture of that generation.
In 2010, designer Jaroslav Juřica refined the pinhole camera for the internet, releasing the Rubikon under a Creative Commons licence. Now, with a bit of glue, an old Coke can, and some 200gsm paper, you've got yourself the ultimate lo-budget lomo! Download the Rubikon here - and make sure to post your shots to our Facebook Page.
