UPCOMING: 52 Weeks On: A Pilbara Project Exhibition.

Over the past 52 weeks five artists have toured the Pilbara, creating visual stories through photography and film which capture the reality of contemporary life, the rhythms of large-scale industry and the enduring Pilbara landscape.

The result of these field trips is 52 Weeks On: A Pilbara Project Exhibition.

52 Weeks On is a 'dual' exhibition and will open on consecutive nights in FORM Gallery, Perth and the Courthouse Gallery, Port Hedland, and will feature new photography and film by renowned artists Dr. Les Walkling, Tony Hewitt, Christian Fletcher, Michael Fletcher and Peter Eastway. Curated by William L Fox, Director of the Art + Environment at the Nevada Museum of Art, the exhibition considers the collision and interconnection between the land, industry and cultures of the Pilbara.

Throughout 2011, FORM and the Courthouse Gallery will be running select beginner and advanced photography programs in the Pilbara, enabling you to capture your own perspective on the region. To register your interest please contact Kate on kate@form.net.au or (08) 9226 2799.
