Tiersman to Linenfold was FORM Gallery’s final exhibition of 2007; a showcase of new work by renowned furniture designer Khai Liew. Opened on October 19 by David Clark, Editor of Vogue Living, who traveled from Sydney specifically for the event, Tiersman to Linenfold attracted large audiences and significant media attention. FORM brought Liew to Perth for the exhibition, where he also conducted a workshop for the professional development of WA’s own emerging talent through the Dwellingup Fine Wood and the Design Clusters in the Designing Futures program. This offered invaluable mentoring and professional growth for Western Australia’s emerging practitioners and enabled the positive effects of the exhibition to be experienced by other practitioners.
