This exclusive dinner and multimedia presentation was a groundbreaking event for FORM, attracting significant profile. FORM hosted former Vice-President of the United States, Al Gore, in an event that secured almost 1,500 bookings. Gore spoke about climate change, environmental sustainability and global warming, as explored in his bestselling book and film An Inconvenient Truth. This event attracted leaders from diverse areas including resources, finance and law, property development, architecture, design and environmental industries, as well as key figures from government'as well as WA Premier Alan Carpenter and interstate/international contingents. There was also a contingent from Queensland, Victoria, Canberra and New South Wales, as well as international guests.
Gore also presented in an afternoon-session organised by FORM and the UWA Perth International Arts Festival to full house of 18,000 guests. His visit to Perth began to highlight the inter- connectedness between environment, culture, economics and social wellbeing in creating truly sustainable communities throughout WA.
