Through the partnership between FORM and BHP Billiton Iron Ore, a continuous program of West End upgrades in Port Hedland is being undertaken to create a precinct that offers a people-orientated urban environment that also reflects the sophistication of the region’s workforce.
FORM is currently developing the installation and fit-out of the ‘Sundowner’ (a 1930’s railway dining car), whose new life as a cafe and bar will unfold in the Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery gardens. Adjacent to the Gallery is Banger’s Bungalow, a historic building linked to the region’s pearling industry. The Bungalow will be fully renovated to establish a new business centre as part of the development.
