At FORM we see creativity as a catalyst for positive change.
We believe that the best, most vibrant places to live are the ones that nurture dynamic creativity, showcase cultural diversity, insist on quality, and are shaped with people in mind.
FORM is proud to present the eponymous, debut solo exhibition from Gloria. Born in Jigalong in 1975, Gloria is a Martu woman working out of Spinifex Hill Studios in South Hedland. Gloria is an acrylic painter within a powerful matriarchal tradition that emerged in the Western Desert in the early 2000s. Her loose brushwork and pastel palettes have drawn critical attention for their highly affecting presence, and these artworks announce Gloria as a truly exciting contemporary abstract artist.
Opening Thursday 22 February, 2018 6 - 8pm at The Goods Shed, Corner of Shenton Road & Claremont Crescent, Claremont WA 6010.
Exhibiting until April 1, 2018.
